Privacy Policy

At Euler Education, we are committed to protecting the privacy of our users and website visitors. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and safeguard it, and your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and other applicable legislation.

1. Responsible Party

The responsible party for the processing of your personal information, as defined under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), is 34 Interfaces Pty Ltd, trading as Euler Education. For any privacy-related queries, you may contact us at support@eulereducation.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you register for an account, enrol in a course, make a purchase, or otherwise interact with our e-learning platform. This includes your full name, email address, and phone number.

We also automatically collect certain information when you visit or use our platform. This includes your IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed and interactions, and general location data (city, region, and country β€” we do not collect precise GPS coordinates).

This automatic data collection is facilitated through cookies, tracking pixels, and similar technologies as described in the Cookies and Tracking Technologies section below.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes: to create and manage your account; to provide, deliver, and improve our e-learning courses and services; to process transactions and send related correspondence such as purchase confirmations and invoices; to communicate with you about your account, courses, updates, and support requests; and to personalise your learning experience on our platform.

We also use your information to analyse usage trends and platform performance; to run and measure the effectiveness of marketing and advertising campaigns; to send you promotional materials, offers, and updates where you have opted in to receive them; to detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or technical issues; and to comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms of service.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our platform uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience and gather analytical data. Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help us remember your preferences, understand how you use our platform, and deliver relevant content.

We use the following third-party analytics and advertising services, each of which may set their own cookies or tracking pixels on your device:

Google Analytics β€” to analyse website traffic, user behaviour, and platform performance. Google may process data on servers outside of South Africa. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.

Meta Pixel (Facebook) β€” to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Meta platforms, build targeted audiences, and deliver relevant ads. For more information, see Meta's Privacy Policy.

TikTok Pixel β€” to track conversions from TikTok ads, optimise ad delivery, and build retargeting audiences. For more information, see TikTok's Privacy Policy.

PostHog β€” to perform product analytics, session recording, and feature usage tracking to help us improve the platform experience. For more information, see PostHog's Privacy Policy.

You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of our platform.

5. Information Sharing and Third Parties

Euler Education does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

Service providers β€” We share data with trusted third-party providers who assist us in operating our platform, processing payments, delivering emails, and performing analytics (as outlined in the Cookies and Tracking Technologies section). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.

Legal requirements β€” We may disclose your information where required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Euler Education, our users, or the public.

Business transfers β€” In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit, secure server infrastructure, access controls, and regular security reviews.

Despite our best efforts, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by POPIA.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. When your data is no longer required, we will securely delete or anonymise it.

8. Your Rights

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and other applicable laws, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:

Right to access β€” You may request confirmation of whether we hold personal information about you and request a copy of that information.

Right to correction β€” You may request that we correct or update any inaccurate or incomplete personal information we hold about you.

Right to deletion β€” You may request the deletion of your personal information where it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, subject to any legal obligations requiring us to retain it.

Right to object β€” You may object to the processing of your personal information for direct marketing purposes at any time.

Right to withdraw consent β€” Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at support@eulereducation.com. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.

9. Children's Privacy

Our platform may be used by individuals under the age of 18. Where a user is below the age of 18, we encourage parents or legal guardians to oversee their use of our services. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

10. International Data Transfers

Some of the third-party services we use (such as Google Analytics, Meta, TikTok, and PostHog) may process or store data on servers located outside of South Africa. Where your personal information is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure that it is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation, including POPIA.

11. Marketing Communications

With your consent, we may send you emails or other communications about our courses, promotions, and updates. You may opt out of receiving marketing communications by disabling email notifications in your account settings at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or contacting us at support@eulereducation.com.

Please note that even if you opt out of marketing communications, we may still send you transactional or service-related messages (such as account confirmations, course enrolment updates, or security alerts).

Euler Education reserves the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the bottom of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information.
